About us

Bilingual veterinary care for expats and travelers

Clinic Vet PDC is a bilingual vet clinic in Playa del Carmen with over 20 years of experience caring for dogs, cats and exotic pets. We offer general consultations, surgery, vaccinations, dermatology, grooming, lab work and pet travel certificates for the USA (including the new GBG/Screwworm certificate required since December 2024), Europe and Mexico. Our team speaks fluent English.

Living in Playa del Carmen as an expat — or visiting with your pet — shouldn't mean choosing between language and quality care. Our team handles consultations, surgeries and travel paperwork in fluent English, without losing nuance in the medical conversation.

We've worked with families relocating to the Riviera Maya, snowbirds traveling between the USA and Mexico every season, and tourists who needed urgent care during their stay.

Cat-Friendly Office

Your cat doesn't have to dread every vet visit

We know that for cats, the carrier ride alone is stressful — and a busy clinic with barking dogs makes it worse. That's why we created a dedicated cat-friendly area:

  • ✓ Separate examination room without dogs nearby
  • ✓ Pheromone diffusers to lower anxiety
  • ✓ Slow, respectful handling — no force restraint unless medically necessary
  • ✓ Unrushed appointments
